Manuel Chua is a 'snake' man

Just like RJ Calipus, Manuel Chua Jr was a "snake" man, (but not in a no-gar brief) in his sexy black undies, during one terrifying but exciting stunt of Pinoy Fear Factor.

Large snakes were crawling on Manuel's body, only to realize that Manuel also has a "snake" underneath.

But unlike RJ, Manuel had a little inhibition and not yet ready to flaunt his greatest asset.

Look at the snake...it's very much comfortable lying on top of another 'snake'. (Naughty snake!)

Watch Manuel doing his stunt...

***

There are rumors that the Top 3 Participantes of Pinoy Fear Factor include Manuel, Jommy Teotico and Marion dela Cruz. It's something we should find out as Pinoy Fear Factor comes to an end this February.

Karylle defends co-star Kristine Hermosa

Contrary to rumors about Kristine Hermosa being less than accommodating to her co-workers, Karylle was all praises for the lovely actress who made her feel welcome. The two are co-stars in two upcoming series, Maruja and Ikaw Lamang. Alam mo nung sinabi niya yun, I felt so happy na napaka-warm nung pagtanggap niya sa akin. Pero the more that I see her parang nahihiya ako. Sabi ko nga sa kanya, ‘Sorry ha, nagagandahan lang talaga ako sa ’yo,’” the singer-actress said in a one-on-one interview with ABS-CBN.com.

Karylle shared that Kristine is giving off a different aura these days. “Parang for some reason ang ganda ng glow niya these days, talagang maaliwalas… I really like her, talagang napapanood ko siya before. Siyempre gano’n yun ‘di ba kapag napapanood mo yung mga tao sa TV. Kahit ako kapag nanonood medyo nagiging fan ako. Sabi ko pa nga dati, ‘One day it would be nice to work with people from ABS-CBN.’

Karylle was also happy that Kristine welcomed her as a kapamilya. “Ay walang tarayan between us. Ayoko naman ng masyadong feeling close so siya yung nagwewelcome sa akin at napakaganda nung pakikitungo niya, so I feel comfortable around her… Nag-tape pa kasi ako for I Love Betty La Fea so hindi ako nakasama kahapon sa first taping day [ng Maruja],” she revealed.

Becoming a Kapamilya has been smooth-sailing because everyone has been very good to her. “I feel very welcome kasi kumbaga lahat ng nakakasalubong ko, be it staff, yung mga guard, siyempre mga artista, mga directors… Talagang ang bait nila sa akin. Mararamdaman mo naman yun eh, totoong-totoo, very genuine. So I am very happy that I am here.” She also believes that being the daughter of ZsaZsa Padilla makes it easier for people to accept her. Say hi to her for me.’

As for her fellow artists, it’s good to know that Karylle has already made friends with a lot of them.

Actor-host Luis Manzano has also expressed his support to Karylle’s transfer in ABS-CBN. We’re here for you.’”

On her final note, Karylle shared how grateful she is to all the people who helped her handle the changes in her life at this point in time. Pero masasabi ko talaga dito sa paglipat ko sa ABS-CBN, everyone showed more than I would have asked or expected from them.

Dingdong Dantes to be featured in Pilot Episode of AXN's The Duke

Dingdong Dantes is really going global.

No doubt about this since he was first featured in E!

Television and ranked third among the sexiest men of the world last year. This time, another international channel will feature the Kapuso actor on the pilot episode of AXN's newest show The Duke.

The Duke is a glossy men's magazine talk show that will feature successful men in their respective fields.

It was only today, January 29, that AXN Asia production manager Ci En Xu and The Duke director Joey Chan gave the signal to Dingdong's manager, Perry Lansigan, to release the details about the show's airing and content.

Ayon sa letter na ipinadala nila kay Perry, The Duke will air its pilot episode on February 9, 8 p.m., Singapore time. Kasabay rin itong mapapanood sa AXN Philippines on the same date and time.

Sa bawat episode ng The Duke, ipakikita nila ang mga importanteng tao who are successful in their careers, who earned respect of their peers, and are role models. Someone whom they can call a "Duke."

******

The comments I posted are taken at the official GMA Eat Bulaga Forum. The EB fans said those comments, and they agree that it did landed on 1 million.

Check them out yourself if you want.

Why didn't they give the 1 million when it clearly shows that it landed there?
If they couldn't decide where it landed, they should have let him spin.
And why are the EB fans saying that the hosts are not too happy giving away 1 million?

I took SOME shots at the EB Forum for those who don't feel like going there.

This is the video courtesy by hiscenker

Gerald Anderson thrilled over his new bachelor's pad

Young actor Gerald Anderson shared his happiness about his soon-to-be-completed 'bachelor's house."

Anderson, who is now busy taping his latest television series "Tayong Dalawa" with Kim Chiu and Jake Cuenca, said he is glad to be part of this show since he needs money for the construction of his house.

The actor, who now lives on his own, refused to say how much his new den costs, but described it as not that big.

White kasi mabilis madumihan," Anderson said.

Anderson said Chiu, his on-screen partner, has already seen his house and is considering buying her own.

GMA-7 to air second season of Pinoy Idol

Executives at GMA-7 network dismissed rumors that they would no longer renew their contract with Fremantle for the second season of reality singing search Pinoy Idol, an offshoot of the hugely successful American Idol franchise.

Wilma Galvante, GMA’s senior vice president for TV, said negotiations were still underway for the production of the show’s second installment, which would likely air in the middle of next year.

She said the first season had been “very, very successful” and received “great feedback” from their American partners.

“The winner of the first season is now a very sought-after performer and is even filling stadiums in her hometown somewhere in the Caraga region, I think,” Galvante said before deftly changing the subject.

The name of Pinoy Idol’s first winner could not immediately be determined at press time despite an intensive Google search.

Galvante said Pinoy Idol remained the reality singing competition to beat in the Philippines as evidenced by its impressive ratings during its entire run.

She attributed the show’s success to host Raymond Gutierrez’ smart and spontaneous way of hosting, saying: “In fact, Ryan Seacrest was impressed with his hosting style and even adapted it for American Idol.”

“Raymond has really evolved. His hosting style is fun, fearless, female!” Galvante said.

So, ‘tsaka talagang pinaghirapan niya ito.Pinag-aralan niyang mabuti. At ano, sakripisyo rin talaga on his part. Talagang ‘yung mga proyektong ganito sakripisyo.” Dolphy wishes his son Eric the best in life ngayong birthday niya. “Well, wish ko talagang, well, good health always.

“Well, family effort ito. Actually, kaya magkakasama kami nu’ng biyahe eh. Masaya naman,” dagdag ni Dolphy referring to their recent trip sa Hong Kong. “Kapupunta lang namin doon. Babalik kami pero sa April pa ‘yun. Magla-launch kami doon nu’ng libro. Well, surprisingly lumakas nga ako.

‘Tsaka medyo matalino.”

Marian Rivera has new leading men in her next movie projects

Kasama nila rito sina Iya Vilania at Paolo Contis.

Pokwang reacts on talks that Miriam Quiambao is joining Wowowee

Comedienne and TV host Pokwang launched her first ever album entitled Pokwang, Ang Album na May Puso and everyone really enjoyed listening to her novelty songs pati na rin ang kanyang antics na ipinakita. In her interview, Pokwang said, it has always been her wish to have an album, na gusto rin niyang patunayan na singer siya.

Pokwang says, she could give justice to the song because of all the heartaches and hurts that she went through in loving. Many aren’t aware that this lady had loved yet things didn’t work out the way she wanted it to. But Pokie is truly blessed to have her kids, one is Ria Mae, who is already 11 years old and the other one is Shin, whom Pokie describes as her angel in heaven.

ABS-CBN.Com also witnessed the Ms. Fitrum Grand Finals in Wowowee held last Saturday and beauty queen Miriam Quiambao was one of the prestigious line up of judges at that time. There are talks that Willie Revillame is quite interested in having Miriam on the show, para may beauty queen naman daw at hindi pasigaw kung mag-host.How does that make Pokwang feel? Pokie is very proud to be part of Wowowee kasi supportive sa kanya lahat ng kanyang mga kasamahan lalo na si Willie.

A Carmina Villaroel-Rustom Padilla movie? Why not, says actress

Carmina Villaroel is not ruling out the possibility of her working again with former husband, gay actor Rustom Padilla.

“Kung maganda ang project, why not?” Villaroel said at the sideline of the grand launching of SM Supermalls’ “green bag” on Friday.

Villaroel maintained that she has nothing bad to say against Padilla, who she married in 1994.

“I have nothing to say against him. I don’t have ill-feelings toward him,” she said.

Padilla was one of the popular leading men in the ‘90s. In 2006, Padilla admitted that he was gay when he was one of the contestants of reality-based competition Pinoy Big Brother.

The controversial actor recently made headlines when he announced that he is changing his name to “BB Gandanghari.”

“I’m a woman so call me BB. BB Gandanghari... BB as in Binibini… Rustom is dead, Rustom is not here,” Padilla said minutes after arriving in the Philippines.

Padilla spent three months in New York to study modeling.

When sought for comment about this latest development, Villaroel said: “We’ve moved on. As long as he’s happy, go!”

Happy with Zoren, twins

Villaroel, her partner Zoren Legaspi and their twins Maverick and Cassandra are the celebrity endorsers of SM Supermalls’ “green bag,” an environment-friendly but stylish shopping bag.

This is the latest in the string of endorsements of the Legaspi family.

Both Villaroel and Legaspi were proud to say that they are teaching their young twins about the importance of protecting the environment.

Legaspi believed that parents should inculcate in their children early on the values of environment protection.

“Sila (the kids) ang magta-take over sa atin. They [should] know what to do,” Legaspi said.

Villaroel also shared that her twins were excited about this latest endorsement.

“They’re very caring sa mga halaman, animals. We’re lucky because they’re smart kids,” she said.

Asked about their baby plans, the two said they want more kids and that, if given a chance, they prefer to have twins again.

Carmina Villaroel is willing to work with ‘Bebe Gandanghari’

With his announcement on The Buzz last January 18 that he will now be known as Bebe Gandanghari, Rustom Padilla has shown the public that he has embraced his new showbiz persona as a woman. Having recently arrived from a three-month stay in US where he studied modeling, the Eva Fonda actor even shared that he one day hopes to work with his celebrity crush Richard Gomez.

Carmina Villaroel, who was married to Rustom for over three years, sees nothing wrong with her ex-husband’s decision to rename himself. “You know, wala akong masasabi eh. Siguro what I can say is [that] I have nothing to say against him, nothing bad. Because I don’t have any ill feelings towards him,” she said during the launch of the SM Supermalls Green Bag at the Mall of Asia last January 16. Carmina with partner Zoren Legaspi and their twins Maverick and Cassandra were the official celebrity endorsers of the environmental project, which encourages the public to use the recyclable bag instead of plastic ones.

The actress said she is even willing to work with Rustom in the future. “Kung maganda naman yung project, why not ‘di ba? Bottomline lang dito, hindi kami magkakaaway. Obviously, we have moved on and kung ano man yung mga nangyayari sa buhay niya, as long as he is happy, then go. Wala naman siyang sinasaktanna tao ‘di ba? Para happy,” she said.

Even Zoren, a TV director whom Rustom reportedly wants to also work with, was also open to the idea of them being in the same project. “You know, wala naman quarrel dito. Between the three of us, wala naman talaga,” he said.

‘Tayong Dalawa’ stays true to its promise to bring premium entertainment

Tayong Dalawa made a successful grand premiere last night as it stayed true to its exciting premise: “Sa mundong para lamang sa isa, hindi maaring Tayong Dalawa.” The first gap opened with Marlene (Cherry Pie Picache) and Ingrid (Agot Isidro) pondering about their lot in life and the one man they both love, which seemed to be the only thing they have in common. After their connection to David Garcia (Miguel Faustman) was established, the following scenes became more exciting as the two women got pregnant and Ingrid went in search for David who had already married Ingrid by then. As it happened, the birth of their babies is also in question and only their mothers Elizabeth (Helen Gamboa) and Rita (Gina Pareño) know the whole truth.

Unlike other soaps where viewers are raring to fast-forward to the episode where they will finally see the all-grown-up lead characters of the story (Kim Chiu, Gerald Anderson, and Jake Cuenca), one couldn’t help but cherish every scene in Tayong Dalawa because of its interesting mix of drama (unhappy childhood of Ingrid’s son, Dave) with a touch of comic relief (scene where Cherry Pie was making up weird stories about how the fathers of her sons Ramon and JR died while in combat). Seeing how Audrey was related to both JR and Dave (the two David Garcia) at the latter part of the episode also brought about much thrill.

With the way the characters’ lives were connected to each other, viewers definitely had their eyes glued on TV because Tayong Dalawa is filled with secrets waiting to be unveiled at a moment’s notice. And if the soap maintains its exciting pace and gripping episodes, then it would be safe to say that Tayong Dalawa is bound to be another hit teleserye of ABS-CBN. So don’t miss out on the newest soap in town and make it your new viewing habit. Watch Tayong Dalawa right after your favorite comedy series I Love Betty La Fea on Primetime Bida.

The captivating tale of Tayong Dalawa begins tonight

ABS-CBN proudly brings together some of the finest stars in the country in a story that spins generations of greed, hatred, and betrayal.

It all started when David Garcia (Miguel Faustmann), a polished navy seal sweeps two women, Ingrid and Marlene, off their feet. One has led a very sheltered life, and the other, forced into prostitution at an early age. But even after David has chosen one of them to become his wife, he gives both Ingrid (Agot Isidro) and Marlene (Cherry Pie Picache) a son.

Both lived apart from each other but fate will soon intervene because not only do their boys (Jake Cuenca and Gerald Anderson) share one name, David Garcia Jr, they will also love one girl, Audrey King (Kim Chiu).

Will they ever find peace and happiness if their complicated lives are hopelessly intertwined with each other? Find out as their tales unfold in Tayong Dalawa beginning tonight on Primetime Bida, right after I Love Betty La Fea.

Baron Geisler, Jake Cuenca, and Gerald Anderson have high respect for gays

During the grand press launch for Tayong Dalawa last January 7 in Greenhills, San Juan, an impromptu open discussion arose between the press and members of the cast Gerald Anderson, Jake Cuenca, and Baron Geisler about homosexuality and how much respect the latter three had for members of the “third sex.” They even said they would not be offended even if they were linked to someone gay.

I’ll just take it as a compliment. So for me, regardless if I get linked to someone, it’s not an issue. Basta I told myself I’ll always take it as a compliment,” Gerald says. Gerald even admitted that working closely with gays does not make him the least bit uncomfortable. Ako, I have gay friends. There’s nothing wrong with that. I mean, they’re still people. Tao rin naman sila. I find gay people are smarter pa sometimes and very creative,” Gerald stresses.

Despite his tough boy image, Baron revealed his sensitive side by expounding more on the issue. “Mga katulad niyo po, sa lahat ng mga creative people dito sa industriya natin, not only in showbiz but also in other industries, these people are known as very talented. They boost other people’s careers and they’re just there for us and we have to love them and accept them because they’re just human. There’s nothing wrong with that,” he says.

The three actors impressed the media by sharing their thoughts on the topic and Jake even went one step further and showed his appreciation for gays. Maraming maraming salamat,” he says.

Catch the January 19 premiere of Primetime Bida’s newest teleserye Tayong Dalawa, For more updates on Gerald, Jake and Baron, keep logging on daily to www.abs-cbn.com

Rustom Padilla is Dead

Rustom Padilla is dead. Because he is now a lady. And the lady is known as BB Padilla.

BB is an alias for Binibining Gandang Hari.

BB arrived in Manila yesterday from a three month vacation in the US where he is rumored to have his organ changed. But according to BB he is not ready yet to comment about the issue, "I had a series of psychiatric treatment but I don't wanna comment if I had a sex change or not. But I am physically, emotionally, spiritually, and even financially 100% woman now."

Many speculated that this change was due to Rustom's upcoming one-man stage play titled "Binibining Gandang Hari" but according to BB whether there's a project or not BB will stay.

See the 3-part video interview of BB below where he talked about his future showbiz plans, couples Carmina and Zoren Legaspi, actors Richard Gomez and Piolo Pascual, and how his family accepted this new changes in his life:

Mau: Good things come to those who wait

In the roller coaster rigors of show business, the ticket to the big ride is never an easy one.

For Mau Marcelo, success, indeed, has come at the price of unwavering perseverance and determination. Since her heyday as lead vocalist of the Chemical Syndrome band, Mau has soared to heights greater than her childhood-woven-dreams.

“I believe good things come to those who wait and persevere,” she openly admits in an interview at the Old Spaghetti House along Bohol Ave. in Quezon City. The newly-signed songstress of Viva Artists Agency is truly one whose accomplishments are the fruits of her persistence in her craft.

Hailing from Lucena City in the Quezon Province, Mau set off on her musical career at the tender age of five, singing in school programs and family reunions. She went on a tour of sorts, competing in amateur contests all over Quezon, Batangas and Laguna, using her professional moniker Samantha Brown along the way.

Her first real big break came when she joined Singaling, a TV singing contest then hosted by Allan K., and Ai-Ai de las Alas, aired over ABC5. Here, she reigned supreme as the champion for seven weeks. This stint was to be followed by yet another signing contest; this time, Mau barged all the way into the finals of Star For A Night, only to lose to Sarah Geronimo.

Losing in competitions, however, did not discourage our heroine. Just as the hit show American Idol began making waves on the international audience, ABC5, the same station that practically revved her career onto the fast lane, decided to put on the first ever local franchise of the stateside program. Dubbed as Philippine Idol, its first incarnation locally, Mau decided to join the competition when a — and I quote — “concerned citizen” texted and convinced her that she, indeed, had the stuff that champions are made of.

And the rest, as they say, is history. From her consistently ending up in the bottom three in the ladies’ eliminations, to her astounding entry into the semi-finals as the wildcard, to the exponential growth of her fans and supporters when she swooped into the finals, Mau ultimately won it all and claimed a title that she truly deserves — the first and only — Philippine Idol.

“It was just like what I really wished for all along, a title that I can call my own,” Mau says over seafood marinara. As fate dictated, just around early 2007, GMA 7 was able to obtain the rights to the competition franchise and renamed it Pinoy Idol. Hence, with the present setting, only Mau Marcelo, is and will ever be the Philippine Idol.

I was very much surprised to find out that this one champ, with an ego as negligible as an ant’s, still maintains her simple lifestyle. A mom to two kids, Patricia and Paolo, and a loving partner to her non-showbiz beau Ritchie, Mau still retains some unique quirks that most of her fans do not even know about. For example, she uses a kulambo (mosquito net) as her blanket for her feet, owing to its silky fabric. “Masarap talaga siya sa paa when going to sleep,” she explains, “you have to try it yourself!”

But kidding aside, busy-bee that she is on account of numerous gigs and shows, the Philippine Idol, like singer Roselle Nava, still finds time to be hands on with her very own arts and music school.

Opened in August 2008, the Mau Marcelo Arts and Music School in Lucena City caters to young, future stars who wish to follow in the champ’s footsteps. The school offers lessons in voice, guitar, dance and flute, among other courses that aim to develop the students’ skills in the performing arts. Mau personally gets involved in the voice lessons whenever she has free time, while her tight-knit crew of able and competent instructors take over when she is in the metro with engagements and performances. A point of interest in her school is the ingenuity she put into her dance studio. Mau figured out a creative way to transform a bare spacious room into her very own dance studio by purchasing huge mirrors and hanging them up side by side along the walls.

Now with two albums to her name and a unique title to boot, Mau never ceases to keep on improving her craft and her endeavours. Last November, she successfully put together a recital where her music school students showcased the lessons they learned from this champion.

Mau Marcelo, now one of the rising stars of the music industry, pours her efforts into developing the little kids whom she believes are no different from her five-year-old self who started with just a little dream and a whole lot of perseverance.
